Tensile

Remember the old family photos when silver tensile dripped from every branch like snow? Remember the yards of long fluffy tensile that was wrapped around the tree? For some reason, I long for that nostalgia. However, I have a cat, so "Alex, I'll take tensile by the yard for 100, please".

it beckons.

It's all about the sauce. The cranberry sauce, that is. After years I mean, we are talking more than ten years of failed attempts here. I MADE A GOOD SAUCE!!!!!!  This is a weird place for me. It lands beside gravy and mashed potatoes. I don't enjoy making either, and the gravy I'm not going to attempt any time soon! This 2022 sauce is fantastic, and it's all I can do to stay out of it! What goes well with cranberry sauce? It's what I want for dinner. I'd like to thank The New York Times for a great simple recipe!

November 21 a day in the life of a writer

What's a writer's life like? Come with me. I'll take you on an adventure. My life adventure.

7:45 I woke early. I could have been sleeping until 8:30, but some force of this universe thinks that sleep is overrated. So does my bladder. I answer the call of body and make my way to my beloved lazy chair. It heats up my chilled body and vibrates all my back vertebrae into place.

8:15 Yet another mysterious force awakens me. Ah, it is my little furry love child of fur. She nestles and purrs ever so sweetly.

8:30 The alarms sound! The husband awakes from his slumber and urges me to the dining room table, where I check my e-mail, then I check my late-night funny Facebook post about eating pumpkin pie. I laugh! None of my family comments on my post, even though they were the ones who made me like pumpkin pie this way!

9:00 Husband reminds me we have two doctor appointments today, and I can't go naked or in my current sleeping attire. Attire sounds fancy, right? Because I'm not willing to say I had on bike shorts and a ratty t-shirt. See what I did? My inner writer is waking up.

9:45 Nature calls yet again, in a different way, a way that I fear will make me late for my Doctors appointment.

9:55 I tell my body you must finish because I don't have more minutes for this.

10:00 We make it to the car and take off like a streak of ... lightning.

10:30 Cruising at a respectable 10 to 15 miles over the speed limit, I arrived at 10:28. A respectable two minutes early. I had a lovely conversation with a Nienty-year-old dear who had dead children older than us and a great doctor visit.

11:00 I'm on my way home, decide that one donut is never enough, and stop for a large chili and deny myself junior bacon only to ask husband for a bit of his, and bless his heart, he split his burger in half with me. I love this man with all my being. Food is not my love language, but care is.

11:30ish I decide to answer e-mails

11:31 I decide I'm going to visit my chair. It's most likely lonely. Then I suddenly find my fluffy girl on my lap, holding me down. I resist. I really, really try, but to no avail. The purring helps me relax.

1:00 Nature, she calls, and so does my next appointment.

1:15 I'm so glad I don't need gas

1:30 Was my appointment at 1:30 or 1:45? If it's 1:30, I'm two minutes late.

2:40 More appointments were made.

3:20 Home, and again, the chair calls.

4:15 Awake! The Ring is going off! It is the Ring of the neighbor!

4:50 YouTube show me what you got!

5:23 We should fix dinner, he says.

5:33 We still have not fixed dinner. He says.

5:48 He starts dinner.

8:24 We finish dinner.

9:00 In a valent attempt, I try to think of a witty and engaging post for my author blog.

9:02 The Whitty and engaging author realizes she hasn't written today.

Never fear the Dr. Appointments stemming from an auto accident. We still need to heal, but we also are taking precautions to make sure we are happy, healthy, and wise.

Long ago, I had a dream. That dream is still the same. Come on an adventure with me as I show you the places in my imagination. I'm currently working on a series called Huntington Heartbreakers. Look for the Title and a book cover soon. Also, look out for ways to stay in contact with me! I hope 2023 is the best year I've ever had!

Why is it?

Why is my creativity more strong when I have fifty thousand things to do? Is it the procrastination that appeals to me? Is that my mind is ...
